Two Counties, One Focus
Keweenaw Mesh is organized around the Keweenaw: Houghton and Keweenaw counties. Radio waves do not stop at a county border. As we continue to build we may cover beyond these two counties in an effort to expand to other mesh groups with similar goals.
What "coverage" actually means
Companions need a repeater in between each other just like cell phones need towers. Hills, metal roofs, wet trees, and the lake all change the story in often unpredictable ways.
We will publish updates as they are available. Until a repeater site is listed, assume nothing. People are not required to share the location of their repeater. The honest test is: get a companion, walk outside, and see if you can find a nearby repeater.
